Lost... At Sea
All this guy wanted was to get a ride home, but what he got instead was a driver lost at sea! Okay, we're joking—the Uber app was probably having some serious malfunctioning issues.
Dinesh might be lost, but we doubt he actually fell into a body of water. Still, let's hope Dinesh found his way to his customer.
Homonyms A Confusing
Aren't homonyms mix-ups fun? In yet phone mess up, John tells his phone to schedule his hair dying appointment. But when the day came, the reminder alert popped up as "die" instead of "dye."
On one hand, it's hilarious, but John needs to tell his phone not to be so aggressive next time!
The Best Kind Of Coupon Glitch
If this isn't a cause for celebration, we don't know what is. This guy thought he was getting a 30 percent discount on his Bluetooth headphones (which is pretty good already), but something went wrong.
Instead of 30 percent, he ended up with a 98 percent discount. Aren't software glitches awesome?
Because No
Has anyone been in an argument with a friend that ended with the friend saying, "because no?" That's the kind of response a stubborn person would say, but we guess this computer system had enough.
He's been copying your stuff to no end, and after all these years of doing what he's told, he finally took a stand and refused!
Ouch, That's Got To Hurt
We don't like to hear that people don't like us, even if it's just from an app. Single life can be exhausting, but with the number of apps available, there seems to be an endless amount of people waiting for you to match with them.
So when Tinder gives you this message, you might take it personally but think of it this way— no one likes you, because no one is as special as you!
What The What?
In this situation, there's nothing else you can do but laugh. This popup is a great example of your software malfunctioning in a way that's so ridiculous, it's almost as if the software is trying to make you laugh.
But instead of one guy getting all the laughs, he thought it would be better to share the message with the rest of the internet, and we thank him for it.
Broken Everything
If your computer system has to be broken, at least the popup message has Bob Dylan lyrics!
Someone's computer broke down, but instead of a standard notification, a rather creative coder thought to program the error messages with lyrics to the Bob Dylan song Everything Is Broken. Quite fitting isn't it?
Thanks Siri!
Here's another example of a fun Siri conversation. While Siri can be a very helpful for the most part, she has her limitations and sometimes doesn't understand what the user is asking.
In this case, she was asked how to say the number 68 in German, but instead of saying "Achtundsechzig," she gave the user the answer in numerical form. Thanks for nothing, Siri!
Netflix, You Crack Us Up
This might just be the funniest software mistake of all time. Obviously, we're all familiar with the history of Hitler's rise to power and the atrocities that followed, and we're quite certain that the Nazis did not rally for the LGBT community.
This software fail is so horrible that there's nothing you can do but laugh.
Hmm... You Don't Say
There's nothing more ironic than your phone sending you this message. How many of us forget not to text when we drive? (Hopefully no one!)
But just in case you needed a reminder, this phone decided to send a message that the driver won't be receiving messages while he's driving. Whoops!
If Bridges Would Melt
If you were ever wondering what an epic Google Earth fail looks like, we got you covered. This map is a close-up of an area in Greece that has several bridges.
Only there's something a little off about them—they looked like they melted! Even on the hottest day, the bridges will never look like this, although it's fun to imagine driving your car down this rollercoaster ride.
Great! You're Done
So you just downloaded a relaxation app to meditate and take a break from the stressful day you just had. But apparently, you're so relaxed that your heart rate is zero!
Did you die or did this app decide to play a cruel trick on you? If you're still looking at your phone we're guessing you're alive and well, but maybe delete the app and get a different one.
Is Everything Good Though?
This photo is giving us anxiety by just looking at it. How many of us have tried to open programs or files, and our computer went absolutely nuts?
This computer decided to tell its user not once but ten times that the files cannot be opened. The funniest part about this is the popup in the background that claims that "everything is good."
How Did That Happen?
Whistle trackers are pretty amazing. They allow you to track your dog wherever they are at any moment using a GPS location. Like most users, this person was tracking their dog, but something weird happened.
At 5:48, he got an alert that his dog Nutmeg was 292 miles away from home, but the next minute, Nutmeg was back in his house. Either the app had a glitch, or Nutmeg learned how to teleport.
Unpopular To Another Level
For any of us who feel self-conscious about our lack of social life, a notification like this may just confirm our doubts.
We're guessing this guy didn't receive any messages from anyone for a while, so when a notification popped up, he was bummed to see the chat app said negative two. Ouch.
The Subway Hates Us All
We all hate commuting on public transportation—the traffic, the people, you name it. Now, the word written in the train car might have been a mistake, but we think the train is sending its passengers a message.
Not only do you have to sit on this train for an hour, but you're going to suffer through it.
The Longest Password
Either this notification is a mistake or the company Kinguin is asking for potential users to enter the longest password ever known to man.
The prompt asked to fill in the correct password, but upon entering it, it said the password is wrong, and forgetting it requires you to enter 255 characters. Who could ever come up with a password that long?
What A Fun National Anthem
What is the national anthem of Bulgaria? As usual, whenever we don't know something, we turn to our phones for answers. Except this time, the phone didn't exactly give the correct response.
We're guessing that the song Despacito was super popular when this photo was taken, and the software got a little confused.
That's A Cool Sign
We're guessing this sign was supposed to project some kind of cool video or maybe a slideshow of pictures.
Unfortunately, the computer system failed, but instead of the screen being blank, the screen reads "cool sign." Well, if you can't actually have a cool sign, at least you can have a good laugh.
How Is This Even Possible?
Is this the kind of message you would get if you were stuck in a time machine? While software glitches happen all the time, we'd say this is one of the more funny ones.
If you got this message, would you assume it's a mistake, or wonder if the world is about to end?
Siri Is Broken
After seeing all of these Siri mess-ups, were wondering how much we can rely on her. Siri is software on Apple operating systems, and while she is frequently asked a lot of questions, she tends to trip up every once in a while, and this photo is a perfect example.
We're pretty sure the cost of a train ticket from Sydney to Brisbane, Australia isn't 28.8 quadrillion kilometer US dollars squared. Whatever that even means.
The Cafeteria Survey
We have so many questions to tackle here. Someone took a photo of their school's online cafeteria survey, and we're very confused.
Why does a school even have a cafeteria survey, and why are they need to know your gender? And if all of that wasn't weird enough, the software appears to be glitching, defaulting the correct answer to the gender question as female.
And You're Only Telling Me Now?
When you send a message from your phone and the message doesn't go through, you expect to get a notification that the message failed to send.
Only this person's phone didn't do that until 155 days later! We know that software can be slow at times, but this is unacceptable.
I'm Not A Robot, I Swear!
We all know the drill when it comes to submitting things or uploading a new page on the internet. Before you go to the next page, the website usually requires you to check a box saying that you're not a robot.
But in a hilarious turn of events, someone checked the "I'm not a robot" box, but the computer seemed to think otherwise.
Are You Sure About That?
Emojis have become a huge part of our lives and are very essential when it comes to messaging. This guy wanted to use the shrug emoji, so he used the search button to look it up, but something weird happened.
The software glitched but in the funniest way possible. It told him there are no results for the word shrug while using the shrug emoji!
The Microwave Refuses To Cooperate
Now here's a microwave that's looking after what you eat! Someone put their food in the microwave, but instead of the microwave processing the request, it refused to cooperate and said "No."
Maybe this person wanted to defrost pizza for the 5th time in a row, and the microwave got fed up with their poor diet. Where can we buy this microwave?
Fighting With Siri
How many of us have had fights with Siri? While Siri is mostly helpful for asking questions and setting reminders, she doesn't always do her job well, which really pisses off some users.
This guy was trying to set a reminder to buy washing tablets, but Siri clearly wasn't cooperating. So much so that he cursed at her, and she responded by setting a reminder with the curse word. Lesson learned—don't mess with Siri.
How Did I Not Get A Hundred Percent?
Seriously, how does this happen? Taking tests online has become the norm these days, but online testing can come with some computer errors.
In this case, the guy taking an online test on Pythagorean tuning seemed to know his work well, but somehow the computer gave him a score of 99.9 percent when he got 19 out of 19 questions correct. Weird!
But The Password Wasn't Even Wrong
Usually, when you get locked out of your accounts, it's because you entered your password incorrectly too many times—and unfortunately, we've all been there. It's hard to remember all of our passwords, and it's super frustrating when we get locked out.
But in this case, the user entered the right password and still wasn't allowed in—for 21555405 seconds! Seeing this is funny, but if we were the ones locked out for 3.5 weeks, we wouldn't be laughing right now.
Umm Where Is This Plane Going?
Let's try to ignore the annoying passenger whose hair is semi blocking the screen, and focus on what's going on the screen.
Someone decided to go on vacation to Hawaii but this software glitch is cracking us up. According to the screen, it seems like the airplane is on its way to space! What's a more fun vacation—relaxing on an island in Hawaii or chilling on Mars?
Apparently Scoring Too High Is A Bad Thing
Whenever we take tests, the goal is usually to aim for a score of 100 percent. But if there's a way to get higher than a 100, you'd think that would be a good thing.
However, the computer system for this online test had some glitches, so when someone received a score of 107 percent, instead of congratulating them for going above and beyond, the person failed for overachieving.
Ok? Ok.
Before we complete tasks on our computers or phones, there's usually a notification confirming if we want to continue. It usually says something like, "are you sure you want to proceed" with a yes or no button.
The notification on this phone, however, is a bit different and pretty funny. It's obvious that there's a glitch in the system, and who knows what will happen when the owner of this phone presses "ok."
How The Software Stole Christmas
How cool would it have been if these screens actually worked? For this Christmas, we're guessing someone wanted to change the usual tradition of having a real tree in the main square, and made a tree filled with computer screens to show videos.
Only there was an issue with the software, and the screens ended up showing the error message instead. What a bummer!
Who Wants To Take A Ride In This Tornado?
Who loves using city scooters and bikes? With the number of alternative ways to get around, it's really not necessary to drive a car when you live in a big bustling city.
But like all apps, there's always a chance that something will go wrong, and in this case, it crashed right after the bikes and scooters seemed to be sucked into a tornado!
Well Someone Is Addicted To The Settings App
Your phone is always tracking everything for you, including the time you spend in each app. If you're ever curious which apps you're spending the most time in, you can check on your phone where it says "screen time."
It would make sense if your top apps were YouTube or Reddit, but the settings app? C'mon, there's has to be a glitch in the software.
The Fastest Driver On Earth!
Either this is a mistake, or Mamadou is the fastest driver on Earth! When you order food on an app, it's expected that the driver will take maybe 30 minutes to an hour to get to you, depending on how busy the restaurant is.
This photo, however, is saying something very different. The app clearly isn't working, but you have to admit that it's pretty funny. Mamadou appears to be in Mexico, and the app says it will take him 5 minutes to drive to the Northeast in the US!
Someone Loves Iraq
Should we be concerned here? This dropdown menu asks where a product that someone is buying online will be used, and half of the choices are Iraq.
We're not sure why the company needs to know where you'll be using the product you're about to buy, and this might actually be a scam and not a software glitch.
Snapchat Filters Got Wild
Is this photo creeping you out as much as it is for us? Snapchat filters are all the rage these days, and people love to use weird ones that distort their faces.
The difference between a normal filter and this photo, however, is that Snapchat stopped working properly and added an extra face with a beard and bulging eyes to this guy's neck.
Is That Really The Closest Hospital?
When you ask Google for the nearest hospital, you'd expect to get an answer that's less than an hour away. After all, there should be hospitals in your area, right?
This guy asked his phone for directions and got a slightly different answer. For some reason, his phone gave him directions to travel across Europe to Bulgaria which would take him 34 hours!
Oh Yeah, I Love That Band!
Oh My God, you never heard of the band System Preferences? They're our favorite band of all time! Okay, we're joking, but how funny is this?
This guy's phone went nuts, and when he went into his system preferences, it said was a song. What do you think was playing on there?
The PC Ran Away
How does this even happen? Sometimes computer glitches will happen to the best of us, and there's nothing we could have done to stop it.
This person was minding their own business, and their computer stopped working, but instead of just shutting off, it said the PC ran. Where did it run to?
How Many Stops Is The Train Making?
When we go on public transportation, we always want to know how long the trip will take and how many stops there are.
This guy in England thought his phone would give him the right information, but boy was he wrong. His phone decided to go crazy and told him there are over 10,000 stops between Birmingham Street and his destination.
Seems Really Pleasant
Thanks, Google for this wonderful update! When we ask our phones for the weather forecast, we can't always count on the truth, especially after looking at this lovely photo.
A guy asked his phone for the weather update, and Google responded with sunny -999 degrees Fahrenheit report. Hilarious!
Not The Most Appropriate Sign
We don't have to explain why this glitchy billboard looks inappropriate. Imagine if you saw this sign outside on the street!
Honestly, even without the glitch, the rest of the photo is questionable. The advertisement is for sedation dentistry, not seduction dentistry.
Harry Potter And The Cursed Software
Like the Christmas tree fail we saw earlier, this crystal ball is quite a similar disappointment, just on a much smaller scale.
The ball was part of a Harry Potter exhibit and was probably supposed to show scenes from the movies. Instead, the software crashed, and an error message popped up instead.
This Plagiarism Site Needs To Chill
Turnitin is a website that checks for plagiarism. When you finish your paper, before you hand it to your professor, it's best to check if you plagiarised part of it, because if you don't check, your professor will catch you when he does.
In this case, though, Turnitin went a little crazy and claimed that the word "the" counted as plagiarism.
World Record Runner
We all need to get some exercise. Whether it's playing basketball in the park or taking a walk in your neighborhood, as long as you're moving, it's all good.
This guy was tracking his walk on his phone, but after only one minute Google claimed that he walked 3.2 km. Either Google made a mistake, or this guy is the fastest runner in history!
Whose Computer Does It Have?
Like the other screens we saw earlier on the list, these computerized screens are stationed in the subway and are supposed to project the train times.
However, the system must have crashed, and instead, they're displaying an ominous message. Whose computer does Windows have?
Well This Is Just Wrong
Where do we even start here? Sometimes when people create ads, like any other type of glitch, the wrong thumbnail can appear. And in this case, the mistake couldn't have been more horrible.
The article headline read, "Death toll in Spain attacks rises to 14, while the photo showed a man really happy about something he's reading.
There Can Only Be One Twenty-One Year Old
Can there only be one 21-year-old on this site? The prompt asked the guy for his age, and he entered 21.
But weirdly enough, he couldn't continue because the computer claimed, "the user already exists." Maybe he should wait till next year, and 22 might be available!
