1. Bryan Cranston As Walter White
Bryan Cranston is what one would describe as one of the truest masters of disguise in Hollywood. In fact, back in 2013, Cranston calmly walked around San Diego’s Comic-Con without one person recognizing him.
His disguise was so realistic that most people just assumed he was merely another Breaking Bad fan. In the end, everyone was completely stunned when the actor took off his $3,000 costume during the panel for the show.
2. Julia Voth As Jill Valentine
Julia Voth is perhaps most known for her roles in Package Deal and Castle and was also the inspiration behind the video game character, Jill Valentine, for the “Resident Evil” game.
One time, after she received a custom-made beret that a fan had created, Voth decided to take it to Comic-Con where she did a photoshoot dressed as the character. She then featured these pictures on her Instagram account which no doubt made all her fans extremely happy.
3. Lupita Nyong'o As The Pink Power Ranger
At first glance, there is no way that any of us could point out that Black Panther's legendary actress Lupita Nyong'o is behind this Pink Power Ranger costume. The actress wore ths at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con with the costume and, until she had shared a ton of pictures on social media, nobody realized it was her!
The day after, she wore a Kylo Ren mask which totally won over every single Star Wars fan who was there.
4. Daniel Radcliffe As Spider-Man
Daniel Radcliffe, our one and only Harry Potter star, once cleverly disguised himself as Spider-Man during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con.
He was in the midst of promoting his new film at the time, Horns, when he decided to disguise himself amongst the muggles without even having to use the help of some Polyjuice Potion! Apparently, his disguise game was so fly that the actor even adopted an American accent for the day.
5. Rihanna As A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
During a night out with her best gals, Rihanna came out of her shell with an incredible Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle outfit for Halloween.
The iconic singer's eye-catching outfit highlighted Raphael from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle crew and, to her fans' excitement, she showed up in several places around New York City that evening wearing the unforgettable cosplay.
6. Mark Hamill As A Stormtrooper
In 2018, Mark Hamil was keen to take a break from his Jedi training to wander around the Comic-Con convention wearing a Stormtrooper costume.
The Star Wars actor managed to document all of his escapades on his Instagram page, allowing fans to enjoy the exciting moment with him. He even set himself a fun to-do-list that included collecting a rare comic book, finding the “perfect nacho,” and getting his son’s autograph.
7. Kristen Bell as Princess Leia
Back in 2009, Kristen Bell graced fans with one of the best renditions to Princess Leia’s outfit in the film Fanboys. She showed up completely dressed up as the character during a scene, proving to everyone that she was a true nerf-herder!
But Princess Leia wasn’t the only Star Wars cameo that was added to the movie. The film had a bunch of other random cameos including the actor who played Darth Maul, Ray Park.
8. Heidi Klum As Gory Alien
It's safe to say that when Heidi Klum dressed up as Gory Alien for 2019's Halloween, no one could ever recognize her if she didn't say anything.
Over the years, the model has proved herself to be the queen of Halloween, having worn some of the most elaborative costumes one could think of, including the Gory Alien cosplay that took over 10 hours to create.
9. LeBron James As Edward Scissorhands
Get ready to step aside, Johnny Depp, because LeBron James seems to have taken over the iconic character of Edward Scissorhands.
In 2019, when the Los Angeles Lakers player showed off his cosplay outfit, the player proved just how terrifying he can be both on and off the court. James is another star who is known for his superb Halloween costumes, after disguising himself as Jason Voorhees the year before.
10. Audrine Patridge As Mystique
Audrine Patridge once took everyone by surprise when she appeared at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con all dressed up as Mystique (and she totally rocked it!).
The former The Hills star went all-in with her white outfit, wearing the characteristic red wig, and even going all the way to put on contact lenses. She credited her incredible transformation to the brilliant makeup artist, Cig Neutron.
11. Stephen Colbert As A Hobbit
During the 2014 panel for The Hobbit that took place at the San Diego Comic-Con, Stephen Colbert decided to proclaim his love for The Lord of The Rings.
The talk-show host wore a Middle Earth costume and was even featured in an Entertainment Weekly spread where he dressed up as a few of the iconic characters of the legendary series, and obviously, everyone loved it!
12. Iggy Azalea As Cruella De Vil
Back in 2013, the Australian singer and popstar graced the red carpet with a Cruella de Ville outfit (and a dalmatian) during the Vevo Halloween party. The star went for an extremely convincing cosplay, centering her entire look in the evil character that was once one of Hollywood's most feared villains.
We have to say props to Azalea for nailing that black and white two-tone hair perfectly!
13. Tara Strong As Harley Quinn
Throughout her career, actress Tara Strong has won the admiration of fans for her work in The Big Bang Theory.
So at the 2016 San Diego Comic-con convention, the actress decided to wow Comic-Con goers with her costume that was deeply inspired in Batman: Arkham’s Harley Quinn. She got all dolled up with a bold wig and leather bustier that was a total stunner to fans!
14. Joseph Gordon-Levitt As Yoda
In 2015, when Star Wars: The Force Awakens was being premiered, actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt decided to demonstrate his strong allegiance toward The Force’s light side by showing up in a Yoda costume.
The actor got his face painted green, wore sneakers and a bathrobe, and seriously stunned everyone around him. Obviously, fans couldn't stop getting selfies with the actor.
15. Jensen Ackles As Red Hood
Jensen Ackles is probably best known for his incomparable character of Dean Winchester on the show Supernatural. But, as we get to see here, he loves playing around with different costumes when he’s off-set.
In Halloween 2018, the actor cosplayed the vigilante Red Wood, giving fans a glimpse of a character they have all been waiting for the actor to take on.
16. Will Ferrell As Megamind
Hilarious actor Will Ferrell graced the 2010 Comic-Con audiences wearing a hilarious blue costume while promoting Megamind. The comedian combined some blue face paint with a black cape and made sure his fellow cast member, Brad Pitt, was walking around with a cardboard cutout of the famous actor.
Alongside Tina Fey, the two actors made guest appearances as live-action versions of their own characters during the Today’s Show.
17. Dwight Howard As Predator
Dwight Howard is another star who doesn’t miss a good opportunity for a fun cosplay moment. In 2015, The 6-foot-11 NBA player decided to walk around the floors of the San Diego Comic-Con while wearing the alien bounty-hunter costume of Predator.
Fans took thousands of selfies with the NBA star, with him even posing alongside a dog on a motorcycle at some point.
18. Olivia Munn As Sailor Moon
If there is one person out there who absolutely loves a good amount of cosplay, that is the Attack of the Show host Olivia Munn. The host rocked up at the 2011 San Diego Comic-con wearing a costume for one of her favorite characters ever, Sailor Moon.
She loved the character so much that a few years prior, she had worn the same costume to make an appearance at Comic-Con.
19. Lauren Cohan As Negan
Actress Lauren Cohan decided to confirm that she would return to The Walking Dead for season 11 in one of the most terrifying ways you could think of. She showed up at the New York Comic Con with a creepy make-shift Negan costume while simultaneously wearing a “Jason” mask.
Funny enough, she succeeded in creating an outfit that was so creepy that even her fellow actors were scared.
20. Henry Cavill As A "Suicide Squad" Fan
During the promotion for Suicide Squad, Henry Cavil decided to prank his fellow DCEU co-stars by putting on his Guy Fox “V For Vendetta" mask.
He proceeded to ask for a selfie with Will Smith while pretending to be a huge fan. He even wandered around the convention with his mask on, posing for pictures with fans (who had no idea that Superman was under the mask).
21. Xavier Woods As Killmonger
If you’ve ever watched Xavier Woods in his WWE element, you’ve probably realized that he loves incorporating different cosplay moments into his wrestling routine.
But outside of the ring, the wrestler also loves dressing up as his favorite characters, including his 2018 Comic-Con cosplay as the Black Panther character, Killmonger. In this picture, he is posing alongside Big E as M’Baku and Joki Kingston as T’Challa.
22. Kim Kardashian As Poison Ivy
No matter what anyone says about Kim Kardashian when it comes to fashion, we just know that she is somehow going to wear it best and sometimes even make it a trend.
When Halloween comes, there is nothing that we haven’t seen the star dressing up as. Over the years, she has disguised herself as Cher, Wonder Woman, Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, and more!
23. John Barrowman As Wonder Woman
John Barrowman is perhaps most known for his roles in Torchwood and Doctor Who, but during the 2016 Eisner Awards featured in San Diego Comic-Con he decided to stun fans with some of the most amazing cosplay moments.
The actor, who was the host of the Award event, wore three different outfits throughout the night which included Zapp Brannigan from Futurama, Squirrel Girl, and Harley Quinn.
24. Heidi Klum Creepy Halloween Costume
As we said, Heidi Klum is indeed one of the most invested Halloween costume actresses in Holywood.
Amongst some of her creepiest costumes (which get creepier by the year), was that one time she dressed up as a human body in 2011, the time she cosplayed as a creepy butterfly, and perhaps the creepiest of them all, was when she rocked up as Kali, the Hindu goddess of death and time.
25. Steve Carell As Gru
While promoting Despicable Me 2 back in 2013, Steve Carell decided to arrive at his interview on Ellen wearing the movie’s unique villain Gru, by wearing a bald cap and a fake nose.
He must have been really feeling his cosplay since he graced the entire audience with a dance in between the aisles to the song “You Should be Dancing,” which was obviously featured in the film.
26. Peter Jackson As Evil Jester
During the 2014 San Diego convention, Comic-Con goers got to see one of the best costumes out there. The Lord of the Rings director chose to disguise himself as a black and white jester and proceeded to take tons of pictures with his fellow cosplayers.
He then took off the costume so he could promote The Hobbit’s third installment during a panel with fellow Warner Bros peeps.
27. Heidi Klum As Princess Fiona From "Shrek"
Klum, is that really you? As it turns out, in 2018 Klum decided to not go so creepy and to focus instead on creating yet another iconic costume, but this time based on a cartoon.
The model stunned fans when she gave everyone a peek of her costume with a post on Instagram and then proceeded to wear it during a Halloween-themed event.
28. Jacob Anderson As Miles Morales
Jacob Anderson really took dressing up as Miles Morales to a whole other level back in 2018. After he attended the Game of Thrones panel during the San Diego Comic-Con, the actor rolled up to the convention floor wearing Miles Morales' costume, and we’re totally for it!
The actor even tweeted that he felt like he was “amongst his people,” and couldn’t hold his excitement!
29. Alessandra Ambrosio As Jessica Rabbit
Back in 2016, when Alessandra Ambrosio graced the red carpet alongside her husband with her cosplay outfit, everyone around her was stunned, and can we blame them?
The world-renowned model rocked a sensational Jessica Rabbit outfit taken straight up from the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabit? She sure pulled off the entire outfit, and her partner didn't look so bad either.
30. Andrew Garfield As Spider-Man
As if it wasn’t enough to actually play Spider-Man in real life, actor Andrew Garfield decided to give a beautiful speech about his love and admiration for the character to an audience of fans during the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con.
Of course, the actor wore the character’s costume during his homage, and perhaps the best moment was when he took off his mask in front of everyone, and completely stunned fans when they realized it was him!
31. Victoria Justice As Beetlejuice
Back in 2016, actress Victoria Justice completely rocked a hot version of Michael Keaton’s famous character, Beetlejuice. The actress went for a super sleek look and some bold makeup to make the costume stand out even more.
Obviously, her cosplay moment was a total success, fans were in complete awe and the actress couldn't have been more perfect for the spooky character.
32. Tom Hiddleston As Loki
Back in 2013, Tom Hiddleston completely took fans by surprise during the San Diego Comic-Con. Rather than simply announce who would be playing Loki in the upcoming Marvel film, Tom simply stepped onstage wearing a Loki costume, resulting in the whole room erupting in excited applause for the star.
His name could be heard being cheered all over the room, until he finally raised a finger to his lips, jokingly demanding complete silence from his enthusiastic audience.
33. Matt Smith As Bart Simpson
In a successful attempt to blend in with the crowd at the 2013 SDCC, Matt Smith decided to disguise himself as Bart Simpson by wearing a mask of the ionic character.
The Doctor Who star got the entire moment documented on camera, as BBC America crews walked around with him filming some of his most awkward encounters as the actor attempted to get reactions from a crowd that was completely oblivious to him.
34. Ezra Miller As Toadette
In 2018, during the promotion for the film: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Ezra Miller decided to surprise fans with a Toadetter costume from Super Mario.
Obviously, he couldn't have worn it better and everyone couldn’t wait to take a picture with the character from the Super Mario Brothers video-game. It seems like Miller does love cosplay since he most recently dressed as Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist.
35. Adam Savage As "The Revenant"
Adam Savage is pretty well-known for his love for cosplay, and over the years, he has been the heart of the party with the many costumes he has chosen to wear to a number of events.
The Mythbusters host once stormed the 2016 Comic-Con convention floor wearing the ensemble of the bear from The Revenant. With him, he had a lifeless (dummy) corpse of the one and only Leonardo DiCaprio grabbing his Oscar.
36. Heidi Klum As The Forbidden Fruit
Who else would think of dressing as the actual forbidden fruit? You guessed it, the one and only Heidi Klum. In 2006, which was a Halloween year completely overcrowded with Charlie's Angels costumes, Klum decided to challenge the norm and to go for the Bible for some inspiration.
She and her husband at the time, Seal, rocked up dressed up as the forbidden fruit and as Eve.
37. Osric Chau As Captain America
If there is one actor that is no stranger to the world of cosplay, that is Supernatural star, Osric Chau. The actor has portrayed several characters that are widely loved, including in films and cartoons such as Up, Tangled, and Dragonball Z.
In this beautiful homage to his Avengers' crew, he once disguised himself as Captain America.
